Max Irons, Samantha Barks and Aneurin Bernard Reap "The Devil's Harvest"
Three British rising stars have come together to star in wartime drama
“The Devil’s Harvest,”according to
Deadline.
Aneurin Barnard,
Samantha Barks and
Max Irons are joining a cast that also includes
Ben Kingsley and
Terence Stamp.
George Mendeluk is currently directing the film in Ukraine with Aneurin in the role of Mykola, a young man “growing up in rural Ukraine who finds his life changed forever by the invasion of the Red Army and the subsequent persecution of his family and fellow countrymen as Stalin’s regime extends into Eastern Europe.”
Barnard and Irons starred together recently in BBC miniseries
“The White Queen.” Barnard also plays love interest to Kaya Scodelario in Sundance hit
“Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes” and has
“Mary Queen of Scots” (the Thomas Imbach version, not
the Saoirse Ronan version) coming up.
Irons recently wrapped “Posh” with just about every other British up and comer (including Sam Claflin, Douglas Booth, Jessica Brown-Findlay and Holliday Grainger) and is attached to Christopher Nolan-scripted “The Keys to the Street” opposite Gemma Arterton.
Barks broke out playing fan-favorite Eponine in Tom Hooper’s Oscar-winning “Les Miserables” and is currently filming “Dracula Untold” opposite Luke Evans and Sarah Gadon.
